Are you this person? step 1: make the mood board + step 2: let it become your reality

In today’s letter, I will show you:

  • Why I make a new mood board every month.

  • How it’s helping me make decisions on a daily basis.

  • The one mood board adjustment I made that changed everything.

  • How you can make your own mood board1 in just 5 minutes, right now, and keep gathering mood board materials for later.

  • How to take aligned and inspired actions.

You may pin this post in your mailbox, and return to it every month. Know a friend who’d like to do this with you? Forward them this email.

A mood board is like a frequency.

In one physical or digital place, collect words, images, and textures that resonate with you right now. Capture a mood, a vibe. If you can stimulate your five senses, it’s even better. Follow your intuition and trust your imagination.

Ask yourself → What’s the mood? What do you see? What does it taste like? How does it feel to the touch? What’s the smell? What can you hear? How can you translate those sensations into images and words?

By tuning in, you receive the information it broadcasts.

Your senses are constantly stimulated, and a mood board helps you refocus on what’s desirable to you (vs. giving energy to a pendulum2).

Ask yourself → What is a desirable way to focus your mental and emotional energy right now?

Through repetition, faith, and expectancy, you are impregnating your subconscious mind.

It’s like visual auto-suggestion and requires three principles:

  • Repetition: See it often. Use it as a wallpaper on your devices, print it, and keep it in your daily life.

  • Faith: Trust it’s possible. Don’t force it; use the prayer: “This, or better.”

  • Expectancy: Expect it to come. Look for confirmations and signs that it’s aligning with your life.

From thought (‘oh this would be nice’) to thing (‘wow, that’s actually mine’).

Everything is created twice: first in the mind, then in reality. Create your blueprint, like an architect, of what you want to build, figure out the foundations (how do you want to feel?), and take it from there.

Make sure it is yours, not somebody’s else!

Put yourself in the center of the mood board. I mean it: put a picture of you on the mood board. This way you’ll know it’s not just a Pinterest board, it's actually your experience of life becoming greater. Claim it.

One month goes by quickly: be prepared.

Make a new mood board every month, either at the start of the month or with the New Moon. Collect and organize inspiration regularly in a new album (in your phone) called ‘Mood Board Inspiration’ (all the screenshots, etc.). It will only take 5 minutes to make your next mood board. Guaranteed.

Curate your attitude and take aligned actions.

Curate your attitude and take aligned actions. Match your words, actions, and style to the mood/vibe/frequency you’ve created. Figure out what are the three things that could take you closer to the overall experience you have captured.

Ask yourself → How would I describe the essence of this mood board to someone who can't see it? What kind of attitude is required to bring this mood board to life? What beliefs would help manifest this?

Expect miracles.

Keep a notebook to record experiences and invitations that echo your mood board. Look for confirmation that it’s happening (this, or better!). Signs and coincidences are everywhere, when you pay attention!

And voilà!

Hope this was useful to you.

Infinite Blessings,

Ardas Chandra
