Wardrobe heroes & Styling ideas
a new series!
Continuing the conversation and debuting a new series, “Wardrobe heroes & Styling ideas” — where I share what I’ve recently bought and how I plan to style each piece (a mix of elevated basics and signature pieces) in my everyday life.. or things I’ve been using and loving. Think of it as the miscellaneous section of this publication, if you will. My favorite kind of posts.
4 GREAT THINGS
#1: A soft and big red scarf.

→ Woven Scarf 100% Wool in Bright Red
Oh! so soft, Oh! so warm, Oh! so red! Love at first sight. A bright red scarf as a pop of unexpected color. This is where I bought my scarf from (10% off when you sign up to their newsletter). The Slow Label is a small and independent European brand, founded by creator Anna-Laura Menta. The scarf is big — 200cm x 50cm — the perfect size to wear in so many ways. It also comes in beautiful neutral colors.
So, for a pop of red, here are my top 5:

→ You could also wear a cardigan (or sweater) as a scarf, over your shoulders, or around your waist. And if you want to get a new one that will last you a lifetime, have a look here.
→ If you happen to love knitting, even if you’re a beginner, you can knit a red triangle scarf — I gave away the pattern on my Tiktok last year!!
Another idea is to buy this &Daughter red cashmere bandana…
or this one at Merci (go directly to the store if you’re in Paris).
#2: A big and slouchy olive green leather tote bag.

→ The Teddy Tote in Olive Green and BÉIS Suitcase
Can you tell it’s a soft, muted neutral? Depending on the light, it shifts between a true olive green and a deep sage. Love this!
I originally had the black one on my list, but I chose this shade because it feels richer and more interesting, as a styling tool. The bag is from The Horse and came from Australia (I did have to pay a small customs fee on top, just under 20€). It smells amazing, the shoulder straps are incredibly comfortable, and it’s surprisingly roomy with a small zipped pocket inside. Overall, it’s a beautiful shopper bag for under 300€, and it’ll be my personal item on my next flight, in just two weeks (guess where we’re going?)! This is my version of a Park Tote, for now (and maybe forever?)
#3: A V-neck sweater with a black or white top underneath.

I’m really into V-neck sweaters layered over a white or black crew neck top. While I like the original version from Róhe, it was such a joy to rediscover this one from Babaà in my wardrobe (from my pregnancy days). This just feels really fresh without compromising on style and warmth.
#4: A 5-minute make-up routine.

→ MERIT Clean lash mascara, Lipstick in Millenial, Bronze balm in Clay, and Minimalist stick in Sandstone or my 5-minute make-up routine.
Meet the brand that made me fall in love with the minimal, no-makeup makeup look. I placed my first MERIT order while I was in France this summer, and every first order comes with their signature corduroy slouchy bag. The best part? MERIT will start shipping to Denmark, Sweden, and Germany on October 15. They already ship to the U.S., U.K., Australia, Canada, and even the Netherlands. My favorite product is the Bronze Balm, and here’s a good set to start with—depending on what you need right now. Orders over €125 also receive the limited-edition signature black leather bag (that can double as a going-out bag). If you’re wondering, in my next order, I’ll buy this Flush Balm (in Beverly Hills), the Uniform (in 24, I think?), this Solo Shadow (in Midcentury), and the Brush No.1.
3 STYLE BOARDS FOR INSPIRATION
