The Wishlist Edit
what's on their wishlist: the Substack Fashion creators edition
In this post, you’ll find a ton of great ideas curated by some of my favorite fashion Substack creators. I asked them to share:
Something big on their wishlist
Little things on their wishlist
Experience(s) on their wishlist
Something they’ll be giving to others
→ This is the kind of post you want to like, bookmark, and come back to for great, original ideas.
Now sit back, relax, and discover what 17 Substack fashion writers shared with me. You’ll see — it’s personal, thoughtful, and genuinely inspiring. The kind of ideas no
boringtraditional gift guide could ever give you. Feel free to steal from that!Open this from the Substack app: this way, you’ll be able to click on each image to make them bigger, zoom in, screenshot, etc. I link everything I could to save you time, but I’m only human: let me know if something is missing.
Now. I’ll go first:
1. Ardas Chandra from The Radiant Self
This Tekla hooded bathrobe is perfect.
I’d take a new Tekla set (duvet cover + pillow sham).
I’m really into those Monica Vinader bangles (I recommend this, this and that?). (I can’t say it enough: this travel jewelry box is #1 recommendation, it’s so good!!) (love this ring a lot) — all currently on sale for Black Friday
This Liffner evening clutch is so chic.
→ It’s not in the Liffner Black Friday sale, but some great styles are, you can check the sale section here (codes: BROWNS25 for the Dark Brown bags, RHUM30 for the Rhum bags, BLACKS25 for the Black bags in this selection).
The No. 3 hair brush from La Bonne Brosse Brush (15% off Nov 27-Dec 1)
This 2026 fashion planner from Smythson.
The Five Minute journal: I will use it every day, promise.
The Five Minute make-up set by Merit!
This butter dish and the tortoise butter spreader from Sabre Paris! I’m French, after all…
Fresh flowers. Anytime. I like this stainless steel vase a lot.
Fun, weird, great jigsaws for grown-ups, via LePuzz: so good!
I love already made gift sets because I love great packaging: I’d do this one from l’Occitane (with the best shower oil ever) and really any of the gift sets from Flamingo Estate (if you’re US-based).
A 600-page beautiful coffee table book filled with amazing interviews, a great conversation starter: The Guide to Becoming Alive, bundled with this Manuka hand cream.
More ideas here:
Tried, Tested, and So Worth It
Do you know this feeling when you find something so good that you want to tell everyone about it? Well, this is it. It might also serve as a gift guide or wishlist.
2. Anna Newton from The Wardrobe Edit
The CBK: Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, A Life in Fashion book. I love the idea of spending the morning snuggled on the sofa, having a flick through.
The gift of time (!) I really miss pottering around the house - ALONE! The best gift would be a sleepy Sunday afternoon to myself so I could bake, organise, and do one of those showers that just go on forever.
A cinema membership to Everyman cinema for the year.
But if not that, then I’m a sucker for a spa day!
For my foodie friends, I love to gift them a Microplane zester.
But this year, pens for everyone! My friend gave me this pen, the Drehgriffel Nr. 1 from Leuchtturm1917, and it truly is the most satisfying pen I’ve EVER used (it’s refillable and you can engrave it with their name)!
3. Laura Kirk De Valencia from La Deeply Shallow
The Row Pallenberg off-the-shoulder cotton top (or here in black)
Alternatively, these handmade Baku “bolillo tennis” shoes for the quality (I have two pairs from the brand, can’t recommend enough!) and the irony of the swoosh!

I can’t go wrong with Royal Highnies pajama pants!

I also will be giving to my local food banks!
6. Irene Kim (김애린) from In Moda Veritas
We moved into our Paris rental in July. There isn’t a night that goes by that I don’t think about my incredible and (always) firm Kingsdown mattress at home in Toronto. I know mattresses are the best investment, but I’m still struggling to pull the trigger on this one!
I would like soft, fluffable goose down pillows because these H&M Home pillows aren’t cutting it. I loved these ones from Au Lit Fine Linens we had at home.
+ 4. A gift certificate for afternoon tea for two at OGATA Paris (16, rue Debelleyme). An oasis of peace in the Marais!!
7. Jennifer Cook from Mom Friend
A pair of black flats from Le Monde Beryl Luna’s. They would be a splurge for both me (and anyone that I’m getting a gift from this season), but man, are they dreamy!
Any form of paper goods or stationery. Though I’m really after a classic Filofax this year, I also have my eye on these hand-painted notebooks from Moglea that are beautiful and all one of a kind.
I’ll always accept a massage or spa day at Bathhouse (NYC)!
My favorite things to gift are kitchen items!

This big brown double-breasted coat and wool trousers with deep front pleats from Wright + Doyle, a British unisex clothing brand that makes really interesting pieces with great silhouettes.

If the person I were buying for loved red wine, I’d get them a bottle of Penfolds Bin 389.
Monica Vinader makes zodiac necklaces that are subtle and tasteful, but feel very personal.
A big resin bangle from Dinosaur Designs: it’s unusual, can be worn with pretty much anything, and it’s well-made but not expensive!

I am obsessed with my red and black floral embroidered blouse from Ukrainian brand Etnodim. I would really like another one, and love the cut and tonal embroidery of this one!
I can’t have enough colorful running socks from SOAR!

This book: We Loved to Run by Stephanie Reents. A novel that perfectly captures the camaraderie, care, and competition among a group of young women part of a DIII cross country team.
14. Maria Hyde from Essential Reads
I’m not one to splurge on jewellery for myself, but I hope to collect a few pieces that I can eventually pass down to my daughter. These solid gold birthstone charms from Kinn would be a beautiful gift to get because they can be personalized to be meaningful.
A minimal, sleek way to store my jewellery pieces: these book boxes from Heaven Mayhem are perfect.

17. Alina Brane from Silhouettes of Thought
Two iron pieces produced by Näfveqvarn I can’t stop thinking about:
As seen in all Toteme stores, this Tobacco Jar is used to hold scented candles by sculptor Carl Elmberg. And this Flower Pot designed in 1925 by Swedish sculptor Anna Petrus. I have a total hangup on iron pieces at the moment — something about its raw authenticity, weight, and timelessness.I have a weak spot for great tea. Give me a packet of local flavour from a travel or your personal favourite tea!
Art is my favourite source for inspiration. A visit to Louisiana in Denmark catching the Marisol exhibition (with an extended Copenhagen stay included?): a dream!
I love books. Whenever I read a really good one, I try to pass it forward. There is nothing more romantic than receiving an old loved book from a dear friend, like sharing a secret treasure.
