I’m a true believer that when you feel good, you can do good. And sometimes, making a vision board can help you to remind yourself of how you want to feel when you wake up in the morning…
Close your eyes for a second, and picture what would happen if you felt great, radiant, and amazing right at this moment: you carry yourself in the world like a queen - the queen of your queendom - you have this regal quality in your aura, your radiant body does the talking for you, everything comes to you, you’re so magnetic, and you just shine so brightly, projecting confidence, letting yourself be seen, finally taking your s p a c e.
How would it feel to enter any room that way?
What do you think it would change for your life? For your bank account? For your wellbeing?
Can you see how this feeling would allow you to be as great as you know you could be?
Can you see how your personal style can impact your projection?
Feel free to bring pen-to-paper, journal, and write your vision down.
We talk about this in those Style Edits (here is on wearing white from head to toe, doing daily human things with style, and more in the Archive tab).
You might have seen I’ve inserted a video at the top of this post: it’s when I take you with me inside the fitting rooms of my local Arket store.
I want to go deeper into each piece and why I think they work or don’t work for me. And that’s exactly my point: it’s not because it looks good on someone else or on the hanger that it will look good and feel good on me. Having made the videos allows me to see how it looks and I can tell “Wow! That’s 100% Ardas Chandra” and “No, no, no! That’s someone else”.
The truth is this is how simple life can be: some things are meant for you, and some other things are meant for someone else (may it be a pair of trousers, a relationship, a job, a house, a pair of shoes, etc.).
You are unique, truly, and we are here to reflect on what would make you feel good.
You think we are here just talking about clothes when in reality we are talking about your way of communicating your essence to the world.
And that’s what I do for a living: I guide and direct you in creating a ripple effect of change in the world, in creating a life that feels fulfilling and inspiring, in fearlessly following your vision to create newness, or in illuminating the path for many others to follow. May this be through launching your prosperity container, your website, your Substack publication, or through refining your style by finding pieces that will amplify the way you carry yourself into the world, or through teaching you how to journal, how to meditate, or how to build community and experiences…
I am whoever you need me to be for you (open identity center it is…). Do you have a defined or open identity center in your human design?
Expect some blue, some stripes, and some Spring/Summer white, as well as some linen. Those are the pieces I tried on with the links to the items in the caption:

Now, if you go back to the video, are you able to see what fits me well, and what doesn’t? Let’s have a look at the pieces, following the order of the video, focusing on bottoms (trousers, denim jeans, skirt, shorts).
I was most curious about those Black Crinkled Trousers 69€ (XS) (tried on with White long sleeves T-shirt 35€ (S) and then with Crinkled Top 39€ (S)).
I liked the lightweight of them and thought they would be so great for packing and traveling. The length is great on me, I’m petite, and they are full-length, they might be cropped on you if you’re taller. I could see myself wearing those with flip-flops (I own 3 pairs of this brand, must-have for 39€), and also with some heeled leather sandals (such as this pair 189€, or my favorite from Aeyde for 295€ here) for a more dressed up look (always packing a pair of heels in my suitcase).
—> But in my case, I don’t think this pair of trousers is the most flattering: they have a bit of a flare fit, and I just know that straight legs work best for me. So I’ll pass on them. Should you want to have another option for a pair of black trousers with straight legs, side pockets and in a natural fabric, you could go for those black 100% linen ones for 59€ (same as those: White Linen trousers black stripes 59€ and Off-White and Black Linen Trousers 69€).
You know I love those straight denim jeans (79€, size 25), I mentioned them several times in this newsletter, here worn with the Crinkled Top 39€ (S).
I think they fit me better than the model on the website. Again, these are cropped… if you are tall. For me, they are full-length. I love the non-stretch fabric, and it’s not a pure optic white. It’s not ecru either. This feels 100% Ardas Chandra. A relaxed pair of white-ish denim jeans. I actually like the crinkled top worn with the denim pants, I feel it dresses them up, and the top is very lightweight, perfect to be packed in your suitcase to elevate anything else. This set — the denim jeans + top — comes with me (worn with my ATP Atelier Rosa sandals)!
For the third bottom, you see the skirt, the Crinkled Ecru Skirt 59€ (XS). This doesn’t feel like me, especially worn with the Crinkled Top 39€ (S). I didn’t feel comfortable wearing this set, because when it comes to maxi skirt, I love white denim skirt the most (such as this one for 79€ with a back slit, or this one from COS with a slit in the front).
I do like the Crinkled long sleeves blouse 69€ (S) though, the long sleeves are really beautiful, and wide: it gives me a feel of Toteme without the price tag that goes with it. I’ll go for an XS though, and wear it with my white denim jeans, my blue 501s, or my beige chinos.
As you can see, I tried almost every piece of this crinkled collection, and the pair of black shorts are looking better on me than the pair of trousers. Love them!
The Crinkled Black Shorts 39€ (XS) have a bermuda length, very lightweight, and I can imagine wearing them this season with a straw bag with leather details 149€ and a white tank top 17€. It’s almost a no-brainer when looking for a pair of shorts that are not denim.
Going into the linen trousers, the White Linen trousers black stripes 59€ look like something I could wear this season: straight legs, full-length, pockets, an elasticated waistband, and a choice of fabric that is smart for Spring/Summer: good quality linen will go a long way, for many years to come. They are relaxed, and give me the PJ vibe, while they still can be dressed down (a white t-shirt 19€ + a pair of flip flops 39€) or dressed up (a pair of heeled leather sandals 189€ + a bustier 79€).
Moving on to my favourite piece of this fitting room session… Something blue! It was so present in my intuitive vision board that I had to try something blue and see how I felt about it: the Striped PJ Trousers 49€ (XS).
If you’re tall, they’ll be perfect on you!! If you are petite, you can do as I did, just roll them up at the bottom (or go to your local seamstress). 100% organic cotton, they have pockets, an elasticated waistband, and can be literally your PJ. The feel of them is amazing, and you can even find the matching Poplin PJ Striped Shirt for 49€ (sold out in store in my size). The shirt will be so beautiful with a pair of white denim jeans…
I like when there is the option to get a full set, because it gives you so much more possibility in terms of mix & match, depending on your mood.
Going back to linen with this option, the Off-White and Black Linen Trousers 69€ (XS) are less “Ardas-Chandresque” in my opinion, but still, a good option to consider if I don’t want to go for a full black pair of trousers. I don’t own a lot of darker trousers, but sometimes it’s just what you want to feel safe (aka when you are on your moon cycle). When looking back at the video, I like the lengthening effect of all of those vertically striped trousers!
The Ecru Denim Shorts 49€ (25) are one size too big for me in my opinion, so I’ll stick to the ones I bought last Summer, but they might just be perfect on you: if you were looking to invest in a pair of denim shorts that will follow you every Summer, this might be the one.
If you found something you like, then it means my research work has been helpful!
Let me know what you have in your basket at the moment — and what you are looking forward to wear this Spring/Summer.
Infinite blessings,
Ardas Chandra
