One of my go-to yogic recipes – a tea known for its enchanting aroma, healing properties, and cozy warmth. If we all lived together, there'd be a perpetual pot of tea brewing, keeping us strong, healthy, focused, and hydrated.
Crafting your own blend, infused with your love and intention, is a uniquely special experience. You'll discover that it imparts a far more profound and flavorful essence.
Your Shopping List: Cloves, Peppercorns, Cinnamon sticks, Cardamom pods, Fresh ginger, Black tea (loose leaves or tea bags - if you’d rather have it lightly caffeinated, go for tea bags), Milk of your choice, Honey or your preferred sweetener.
You'll need:
A large pot
A strainer
Another pot or container for your tea
For 1.5L of Yogi Tea:
1.5 L of water
8-ish slices of fresh ginger root (good for digestion, warming, joints, cramps)
12 cloves (warming, aromatic, anti-inflammatory, taste, open your mind and give you a little buzz)
16 cardamom pods, split the pods! (aromatic, heartburn, balancing acidity, bloating)
16 black peppercorns (good for sinuses, circulation, digestion, skin, respiratory system)
2 cinnamon sticks (warming, digestion, soothing for respiratory system, balancing blood sugar, taste)
2 tea bags or 2 tsp of black tea (depending on how much caffeine you can take in, if you can’t do caffeine, just ignore the black tea)
Milk
Honey
Love !
Steps:
Step an intention. That this tea brings love and healing to you and your family, for example?
Bring the water to a boil, and add the spices.
Cover and continue boiling for another 15 - 30 minutes. The spices need time to get to know each other.
Remove from the hear, add the black tea, and let it steep for 2 minutes.
Add the milk, bring to a boil, and remove from heat.
Strain and serve into cups with honey.
You may reuse the spices for another batch, or just keep adding water to your pot.
Blessings,
Ardas Chandra
